Lincoln Nebraska Wedding Cakes / S’more Cake / Scott and Kim’s Wedding Cake
S’more Cake Bakery, a Lincoln Nebraska Wedding Cakes bakery, was at the wedding reception for Scott and Kim in the Lincoln Train Station last weekend. The reception was beautiful with floral arrangements and gold accents that were mirrored in the design of their special cake. The four tiered cake was decorated with many assorted fresh flowers, with the couples initials in gold leaf on the 10″ tier A decorated cake drum for the 10″ layer was also covered in gold leaf.
This specially designed cake was made up of four tiers and displayed on an antique cake plate picked out by the bride for this occasion. The bottom 12″ tier was a torted vanilla cake, flavored with grand mariner, filled with swiss meringue, raspberry puree and limeade buttercream frosting. The 10″ four layered tier was a torted coconut chocolate cake flavored with Maker’s Mark bourbon and filled with swiss meringue frosting. The 8″ tier was a torted lemon curd cake filled with lemon curd and lemon buttercream. The anniversary tier was a carrot cake, filled with cream cheese and sour cream frosting, and will be saved for the couple’s first anniversary. The entire cake was frosted with flavored swiss meringue.
The groom’s cake choice was a carrot cake filled with cream cheese, sour cream frosting and decorated with green cream cheese frosting to look like a golf green. The bride and groom were designed with fondant, with the groom putting a golf ball and the bride ( in a nurse’s costume) ready to give the groom a shot with a syringe. It was a cute and playful scene for this wonderful couple.
